New (more racy) Simpson helmet! The Ghost Bandit 2 debuts at EICMA 2026 with composite or carbon shells and Cardo UCS readiness.

Carbon, Cardo UCS and ECE 22.06, live from EICMA

Summary: The Simpson Ghost Bandit 2 is a new sport-adjacent full-face helmet in composite or full carbon, dual-certified DOT and ECE 22.06 by region. It adds a drop-down sun visor, an included Pinlock 120 Max, Cardo UCS readiness, Twiceme and EJECT. It reaches U.S. dealers March 4, 2027, before Daytona Bike Week.

Hey everybody, look what we found at EICMA 2026 in Milan. Simpson just pulled the cover off the Ghost Bandit 2, and it’s the brand’s push into what it calls the sport-adjacent segment. Same tough-guy Bandit attitude, a lot more aero, and a spec sheet that finally reads like a modern street lid. Jamie Beckett, Simpson’s Director of Motorcycle, walked us through it at the booth.

Ghost Bandit 2 vs. the Original Ghost Bandit

The original Ghost Bandit lived mostly in V-twin land, and you’d see plenty of them at bike night parked next to a bagger. The Ghost Bandit 2 is Simpson spreading out to grab more riders. The shell is much more aerodynamic than what we’re used to seeing from Simpson, so this one is aimed at riders who actually tuck in behind a fairing. The other big upgrade is certification. The current Ghost Bandit carries DOT and ECE 22.05. The Ghost Bandit 2 is DOT or ECE 22.06 depending on the market, which is the newest and toughest European standard. If you want to know what those letters really mean, read our helmet safety ratings explainer.

Composite or Full Carbon, Four Ways

Simpson offers two constructions, composite and full carbon, each in two trim levels. On the carbon side you get straight full carbon or a candy-coated carbon finish that glows under the show lights. On the composite side there’s the standard shell plus an elevated trim with a spoiler accent. One version wears an iridescent spoiler. The gray and silver one gets a real carbon-fiber spoiler on a composite helmet, which is a nice bit of flair without paying full carbon money.

Shields, Sun Visor and Pinlock 120 Max

The face shield is anti-distortion and quick-release, and Simpson is rolling out a slew of new tints. The one on our show helmet is called Black, and it’s very dark. Iridium Red and a Transitions photochromic shield are coming too. There’s a drop-down sun visor inside, and Simpson includes a Pinlock 120 Max insert in the box, so you don’t have to buy fog protection separately. Nice touch.

Cardo UCS Ready, Twiceme and EJECT

This is where the Ghost Bandit 2 gets smart. It’s UCS ready, so if you run a Cardo, it’s set up for Cardo’s Universal Communication System. Don’t use UCS? No problem. Any communicator mounts on a clean accessory clip, and you can tuck the wires behind the gasket trim so the helmet still looks spicy. Twiceme is built in, giving first responders tap access to your medical info and emergency contacts through the Twiceme app. It’s also EJECT equipped for the emergency helmet removal system. If you’re bolting a comm unit to your current lid in the meantime, our Cardo Packtalk Edge install guide shows you how.

Price and Availability

The Ghost Bandit 2 lands in the U.S. on March 4, 2027, right before Daytona Bike Week. U.S. pricing, sizes, weight and warranty haven’t been announced yet. For reference, today’s Ghost Bandit sells for $549.95 in composite and $749.95 in carbon fiber, so expect the new one to slot in nearby. Simpson’s lineup keeps growing, too. We covered the Mod Bandit in the Glory graphic on Speed Addicts Podcast #2. We can’t wait to try the Ghost Bandit 2 on the road.
