Signature Series SS/TI full system for $1,249

The Short Answer: Yoshimura’s RS-12evo is an all-new exhaust family for the 2027 Honda CRF450R and CRF450RX. The headliner is the $1,249 RS-12evo Signature Series SS/TI full system, which Yoshimura says has all the power of its $1,799 full-titanium version and still weighs less than stock. It ships in November 2026. A $749 stainless slip-on follows in early January 2027.

Honda went back to a clean sheet for the 2027 CRF450R, and the early reviews have been glowing. Yoshimura’s latest Inside the Pipe newsletter says some testers are “already calling it the best 450 ever made.” Yoshimura says it has to stay neutral on that, but it also says it knows how to make the “best” even better. That’s about as neutral as a Chino pipe shop gets when a new red bike rolls through the door.

The answer is the RS-12evo, the next step for the RS-12, which Yoshimura says powered Chase Sexton to the 2023 450 Supercross title and Jett Lawrence to the 2023 450 Motocross title and a perfect season. The family has three pieces: a full-titanium system, a lower-priced stainless-and-titanium system Yoshimura calls SS/TI (it used to call this version “Hybrid”), and a stainless slip-on. All three are designed, developed and made in the USA, with input from Team Honda HRC race teams in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

What Is the Yoshimura RS-12evo for the 2027 Honda CRF450R?

RS-12evo is Yoshimura’s exhaust line for Honda’s redesigned 2027 CRF450R motocrosser and its CRF450RX off-road sibling. Yoshimura’s U.S. site lists three versions, and each fitment tab names both the 2027 CRF450R and 2027 CRF450RX:

  • RS-12evo Signature Series SS/TI Full Exhaust, titanium muffler (part #225870S720): $1,249, pre-order, shipping November 2026
  • RS-12evo Titanium Full Exhaust, titanium muffler (part #225871S720): $1,799, pre-order, ship date not listed
  • RS-12evo Stainless Slip-On Exhaust, stainless muffler (part #225872S520): $749, pre-order, shipping early January 2027

All three are part of Yoshimura’s Signature Series. Yoshimura describes that line as exhaust systems “a dealer can install with confidence,” with every component “tested, documented, and marked as required by federal and state regulations.” Each product page lists the emissions compliance declaration as Qualified Manufacturer Declared “Replacement Part.”

RS-12evo Signature Series SS/TI Full System ($1,249)

This is the pipe the newsletter pushes hardest, and the pitch is simple. Yoshimura says the SS/TI system “delivers all the power of our full-titanium RS-12evo at a lower price and still comes in lighter than stock.” That’s $550 less than the full-titanium system for the same claimed performance. In our experience, $550 buys a lot of race fuel, a set of tires and maybe the entry fee.

The fine print: Yoshimura doesn’t publish a weight for the SS/TI system or for the stock pipe, so we can’t tell you how much lighter it is. It also hasn’t posted a dyno chart for either full system yet. When it does, we’ll want to see the numbers.

Here’s what Yoshimura lists for the SS/TI system:

  • All-new RS-12evo carbon fiber end cap: A new look for the RS-12, which Yoshimura calls “an unrelenting pursuit of form and function.”
  • Hydroformed titanium muffler: Shaped to use the space next to the airbox, subframe and shock, and engineered to nest with the stock side panel.
  • Two-piece muffler resonator: Yoshimura says it fine-tunes power, reduces sound and improves durability.
  • Hydroformed header primary: Matched to the 2027 engine’s oval exhaust port, with a smooth internal transition from oval to round. Hydroforming also means fewer welded joints and a more repeatable fit.
  • Header resonator: Developed over “countless hours with Honda HRC teams” to maximize power across the rev range and improve what Yoshimura calls “rider connectivity.”
  • Cast manifold: For strength, durability and easier installation and removal.
  • Precision Taper Fit sound inserts: Yoshimura’s patent-pending system for easy removal and installation of sound inserts and spark arrestors in RS-12 and RS-12evo mufflers.

RS-12evo Titanium Full System ($1,799)

For riders who want every gram gone, the full-titanium RS-12evo has the same feature list: the carbon fiber end cap, hydroformed titanium muffler, two-piece muffler resonator, hydroformed header primary, header resonator, cast manifold and Precision Taper Fit inserts. Yoshimura says it improves “rideability, power and torque with less weight.”

Yoshimura lists the titanium system as “109dB compatible.” Its product page lists three sound insert and spark arrestor parts: INS-32-K, which is marked as included, and INS-34-K and the SA-21-K spark arrestor, which are marked as not included. Yoshimura doesn’t publish a weight or ship date for the titanium version. It’s listed for pre-order.

For comparison, Yoshimura’s site lists the RS-12 titanium full system for the 2025-26 CRF450R at $1,699, so the new 2027 RS-12evo titanium system costs $100 more.

RS-12evo Stainless Slip-On ($749)

The slip-on is the only RS-12evo with published performance numbers. Yoshimura’s dyno chart for the 2027 Honda CRF450R shows the slip-on, tested with its spark arrestor installed, making 1.5 percent more horsepower at 9,200 rpm and 2.6 percent more torque at 5,100 rpm than stock.

Other claims for the slip-on:

  • Weight: 6.3 pounds. Yoshimura doesn’t list a stock muffler weight for comparison.
  • Sound: 95.5 dB at 4,750 rpm (test standard not listed), “while still maintaining that distinctive Yoshimura bark.”
  • Spark arrestor: Includes a USFS-approved spark arrestor. That’s useful for CRF450RX owners who head for the trails.
  • Muffler: A new hydroformed stainless steel canister with the RS-12evo carbon fiber end cap, new badging and Precision Taper Fit inserts.

The product title says “CRF450R 2027,” but the fitment tab lists both the 2027 CRF450R and CRF450RX. RX owners should confirm with Yoshimura before ordering. The slip-on is on pre-order and Yoshimura says it ships in early January 2027. That’s just in time for a winter of riding in the rain, or making excuses to stay home and polish it.

Why the 2027 CRF450R Needed a New Pipe

Yoshimura notes that the 2027 CRF450R gets “a new chassis, airbox and ECU configuration all providing more power with less noise.” Honda’s U.S. spec sheet lists an all-new 450cc liquid-cooled Unicam SOHC single with a 97.0mm bore, a 60.8mm stroke, 13.8:1 compression and a 46mm throttle body. Honda says the new single-pipe header “routes close to the center of the bike” to improve weight distribution and produce more controllable low- and mid-rpm power than before.

A new engine with a new oval exhaust port and a new header route means none of the previous RS-12 pipes will fit. Yoshimura had to start over, and it did.

The bike underneath is impressive. Honda lists a 238-pound curb weight with a full 1.9-gallon tank, a 49mm inverted Showa fork with 12.2 inches of travel, a Pro-Link Showa shock with 12.0 inches of travel and a 37.5-inch seat height. It starts at $10,099 plus a $600 destination charge. We covered the bike’s debut in our 2027 Honda CRF450R Preview, and you can see how much changed by comparing it with our 2026 Honda CRF450R Garage Talk Review.

One more detail: Honda’s U.S. motocross lineup page lists a “Yoshimura titanium exhaust system” among the highlights of the $12,999 2027 CRF450R HRC Works Edition. So if you’d rather have your Yoshimura installed at the factory, Honda has a bike for that too.

Price, Availability and Warranty

The newsletter doesn’t give a price, but Yoshimura’s U.S. product pages do: $1,249 for the SS/TI full system, $1,799 for the full-titanium system and $749 for the stainless slip-on. Pre-orders are open for all three. Yoshimura says the SS/TI system ships in November 2026 and the slip-on in early January 2027. It hasn’t published a ship date for the titanium system. When we checked, the product pages showed both a pre-order button and a “Sold Out – Contact Us for Availability” note with Yoshimura’s number, 1-800-634-9166, so call if your race schedule depends on it.

Put the SS/TI system on a $10,099 CRF450R and the pipe adds about 12 percent to the bike’s base price, before Honda’s $600 destination charge. That’s the price of U.S.-made, HRC-developed hardware.

Yoshimura R&D of America covers its exhaust systems with a limited one-year warranty against defects in workmanship and/or materials. It also offers factory maintenance and crash repair services, which motocross riders will probably use sooner or later.

The Bottom Line

Yoshimura’s RS-12evo line for the 2027 Honda CRF450R and CRF450RX covers three budgets. The $1,249 SS/TI full system is the sweet spot: Yoshimura says it matches the $1,799 titanium system’s power, weighs less than stock and ships in November. The $749 slip-on is the only version with published numbers so far, including 6.3 pounds and modest dyno gains. We’d like to see weights and dyno charts for the full systems. Until then, the HRC-backed development and U.S. build quality make a strong case, even for the best 450 ever made.
