Welcome to Moto-1: Built by Riders, for Riders
At Moto-1.com, we believe that motorcycles are more than just a mode of transportation—they are a way of life. Founded by Adam Waheed, a veteran U.S. motorcycle journalist with decades of experience in the saddle and the newsroom, Moto-1 was born out of a simple realization: American riders deserve a news source that is as authentic and gritty as the roads we travel.
We don’t just report on the industry; we live in it. From the high-speed canyons of California to the interstate stretches of the Midwest, our team brings a uniquely American perspective to the global world of motorcycling. While bikes are our passion, we also enjoy all types of powersports vehicles, whether they have three wheels, four wheels, or no wheels at all.
What Sets Us Apart
The digital world is full of hack “journalists” and wannabe “influencers,” but Moto-1 is built on journalistic integrity. When we review a bike, we aren’t just reading a spec sheet. We’re pushing the limits on a closed course, navigating rush-hour traffic, and getting our hands greasy in the garage.
- Expert Insight: Our founding editor has spent decades writing, riding, and testing for America’s leading moto-publications at the highest level. We bring that “old school” reporting rigor to a modern, fast-paced digital platform.
- The American Context: We focus on the bikes, gear, and news that matter most to those riding on U.S. soil.
- No-Nonsense Reviews: If a bike has a flaw, we’ll tell you. Our loyalty is to our readers, not the manufacturers.
- Comprehensive Coverage: Whether it’s the latest electric start-up, a heavyweight cruiser, or the newest ADV tech, we cover the full spectrum of the sport.
Our Mission
“To provide the American motorcycling community with the most accurate, engaging, and honest coverage of the machines and culture we live and breathe.”
Whether you’ve been riding for 40 years or you’re just looking for your first starter bike, Moto-1 is your home for everything on two wheels. We’re here to help you make informed buying decisions, stay safe on the road, and stay inspired for your next Great American Road Trip.
Ride hard. Stay informed. See you on the road.
Meet the Captain: Adam Waheed
If it has an engine (or motor) and a seat, Adam Waheed has probably tried to see how fast it goes. With over two decades of experience as a professional motorcycle journalist, Adam has transitioned from a wide-eyed enthusiast to one of the most respected (and loudest) voices in the American moto-media landscape.
Adam didn’t just learn about motorcycles from a manual; he learned through testing 1000s of bikes. Before founding Moto-1, he served as the leader for the industry’s heavy hitters, where he earned a reputation for technical precision, brutal honesty, and an uncanny ability to explain complex suspension geometry without putting everyone to sleep.
